A trip to Minneapolis found us pisteless in the pristine suburban out skirts, lots of astro-turf like lawns and too many lakes to count. Not a patch of dirt any where. In an attempt to recruit another "Bruce", we tried our best to compromise and headed for the nearest playground. And clearing away the top layers of woodchip mulch stuff we actually had a somewhat, playable surface. Although I wouldn't recommend it, it is true that petanque can be played "almost" anywhere.
If only we had more time we would've liked to meet up with the Minneapolis club and shoot some boule around, Mid-West Style, maybe next time........

are you still there ?? we go to france soon and i hope to get some games in there, i played my second games of the season on friday and it was great , a part from loosing every game .
